Mollie McGee's Craft Markets were first held at the Boulder County Fairgrounds Exhibit Building in 1980. Originally, Jan and Betty held seven one-day shows per year. The shows featured both handcrafted and flea market items. Within a few years, handcrafted items far outnumbered any other type of item sold, and the seven shows were consolidated to three annual shows.
